Spring Cleaning Challenge - Week 2, Day 1

Sorry folks, a bit late with this ... on holidays this week. Day 2 will be posted shortly ...

Week 2 of the Spring Cleaning Challenge will be spent in the kitchen! Kitchens are usually the most used, and therefore dirtiest, rooms in any house. Drips and grease splatter, crumbs and sticky fingers, all conspire to make this room one of the bigger challenges when it comes to spring cleaning. But not to worry. I've got a plan that breaks it down into manageable chunks:

Monday - Clean cupboards inside & out
Tuesday - Clean cupboards inside & out
Wednesday - Clean the stove, oven, range hood and windows
Thursday - Clean out the fridge and freezer
Friday - Clean walls, backsplash and floors

For today, just start at one end of the kitchen and work your way around. Take everything out of each cupboard and drawer. Wipe out the cupboard/drawer with hot, soapy water.

And then put everything back, nice and tidy!

Don't forget to declutter as you go. Get rid of the old, stale stuff you're never going to eat ... and the tools and dishes you are never going to use.

And just keep puttering your way around the kitchen. How long this takes will depend on how large your kitchen is. Do the best you can, and don't forget to put on nice music ...

See you tomorrow!
