Christmas Breakfast Ideas

So, it's a week until Christmas.

How are you doing? Are you frantically trying to finish up your shopping, cards, decorating, baking, etc? I have been there some years. Sometimes, you just need to do the best you can and not worry about what you didn't get to. I think the most important thing is to enjoy those precious few days, and not stress about them.

That said, have you thought about what to feed your family for Christmas breakfast yet? Here are some really cute ideas I've come across on the internet ...

Rudolph Pancakes by Kitchen Fun with My Three Sons

You have to feed them breakfast anyway, right? How cute is this? And it doesn't look too hard. Get the details HERE.

Snowman Poached Eggs by Kitchen Fun with My Three Sons

Along the same lines as above, but with eggs for those who are pancake fans. You can get the instructions HERE.

Santa Pancakes by A Taste of Home

I think my kids would especially love this one ... what kid wouldn't want whipped cream for breakfast? See the details HERE.

Christmas Tree Waffles by Rutherford Family Happenings

You can get the recipe HERE. Super Cute!!

But as much as I love these, I think we'll stick with our normal Sausage Strata. It's easy and make-ahead, which comes in handy on Christmas morning, when you're trying to stuff a turkey and make brunch at the same time! I can't say it's particularly healthy, but it is filling - which also comes in handy since I don't make lunch on Christmas Day. This recipe is very similar to what I do. I think I'll do some fun pancakes on Christmas Eve morning instead!

Do you do something special on Christmas morning?

  1. How cute! I especially love the Christmas tree. I can't say that we have a Christmas morning tradition since we're still kid-free and who we're actually with on Christmas mornign varies. My hubs mom likes to make french toast. My mom likes to make biscuits & gravy. But I hope to start some cute family traditions once we have a wee one. :)
